Kriya Labs founded in year 2017 by three IIT Delhi graduates, Ankur, Kanika and Pracheer. It aims to eradicate the infamous paddy straw burning in India by adding value to the agricultural residue and making it an asset for the farmers by creating a market for it.
Paddy cultivated by the people, for the people. Hence, the problem of burning paddy straw was also created by the people to serve the growing demand and needs of society. But it is time now the society does it bit for the environment as well. A top-down approach to eradicate this problem might topple and then a bottom-up approach is better to go forward with. Kriya Labs’ mission is to achieve social, environmental and economic components of sustainable development with a mind set of transforming waste to wealth.
The problem of environmental degradation is a result of malpractices by humans and to reverse the same the best practice is to use the renewable resources to create sustainable living. Kriya Labs’ vision is to create impact and usability of the products made from agro-waste, a valuable resource being wasted, to solve the problem of environmental degradation by the means of the decentralised model of pulping making technology.
